Can you replace a Y stop with a spool?

I was curious if this could be done on a trailer or not. Sometimes pulling the boat up the trailer the boat will bump the bow stop forward out of position so I was curious if I could replace it with one of those rubber/plastic bow rollers. Does it just depend on the trailer? And if so how do you choose the right size?

TIA

I guess you're saying the bow stop flops around as the bow contacts the stop. Tightening the bolt usually puts a stop to that.

Sure you can replace it with a roller.

A 3" roller would replace this 3" stop.
