The first thing I did on every boat trailer I've ever owned is swap out the silly flat connector for a 7 pin and installed a gang box on the tongue.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0044YQAP...t=&hvlocphy=9007526&hvtargid=pla-323464531852O My SUV has a 7 pin setup that I have to by the wiring to 5flat.
I have that same gang box. Also makes hooking up my electric/hydraulic unit easier as well. No adapters to get stolen or fail and the gang box makes installation and troubleshooting of trailer lighting a breeze.
And the best part, anyone with a factory tow package can tow the boat. No more, "I'd drive, but I don't have a 4 pin connector on my truck"....lol.
Don't mess around with piece parts. Go to champion trailer and buy one of their stainless brake line kits. Includes everything and exactly what you need.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-St...pWdGDw&vxp=mtr

Wanted to know if the braided line would be hard to flush from the salt deposits.
