Old trailer coupler

Anyone know anything about this coupler? How old. It was on a 1963 trailer I got. I can't find any information on it.

On a 1963 trailer, so it's probably 54 years old. I'd bolt a new one on too.

Interesting coupler, but probably not something I'd want to trust to keep the trailer hitched.

What brand of 1963 trailer did it come on?

Yea I did buy a new one. I wouldn't trust that one. Just wondering how old it was.

Contact Dalton tomorrow and ask. Didnt see any mention of trailer castings in the write up abot Dalton I linked, but it has to be post 1924, as thats when the name changed to Dalton Foundries, Inc
