I've used the flat 4s for years without any problems but I use the plug that is made from rubber and not plastic. Up here in Canada they cost about $12.00 per end but the last one I changed was about 8 years old. With these plugs you do get what you pay for.

I don't really want to get a 6 pin plug on any of my trailers. Most vehicles to not have the plugs for them, and my next truck easily may not. Plus I loan the utility trailer out to people all the time. Easy way to bank favors.

I have found it the other way around....most vehicles do NOT have 4 pin plugs. That is why I converted every thing over to the standard 7 pin plug, A much better and easier to use plug.
