Registering trailer in md

Does anyone have experience registering a trailer in md if so HELPPPPPP lmao how does the process work ? whats the best way to go about it ? ect

It's the same as registering your cars and trucks. Start there.

Same as a car. It has to go to DMV first to pass vin verification and you won't get a tag until it does. You can get a temp tag to get it there.

You don't need to drag the trailer to MVA.

You'll need the title signed over to you or a notorized billl of sale. You'll also need an inspection certificate if the trailer is rated #3000 or more.
Go to local MVA branch with your paperwork and pay the 6% sales tax.

The worst that can happen is the VIN is missing. Then you have to apply for a new VIN/ home made trailer ID plate. They give you a new VIN plate to attach to the trailer
