I have an older boat trailer with 12" x 4" keel rollers that have 1 3/8" pipe type shaft. The rollers are splitting and I would like to replace them. However, I have not been able to find any replacements that will fit the existing brackets. The brackets are u-shaped and fit over the crossmembers and are bolted in place. I would rather than reuse the existing set-up rather than have to buy new brackets.

Anyone ever seen roller like this -- or better yet, Know where to get them? The trailer fenders say 'Sterling Salem, Ohio'

Thanks

most keel rollers are for a 5/8" shaft. however most of them have plastic insert bearings in them

I would pull your keel roller and compare to a standard. my guess is that it is a standard keel roller without the standard pressed in bearing inserts for the 5/8" shaft.

Scott,

You were spot on! I bought a 12" keel roller and pried the plastic ends off and slid over the existing pipe/shaft just fine.

Thanks!
