I am replacing the hearings on my trailer and noticed there are small grooves inside the hub. Does the hub need to be replaced? And if so, how do you select the right size hub. Thanks

Are you replacing the races? Is that where the grooves are? As long as the grooves are just in the hubs and the races go in tight, there shouldn't be an issue.

BTW, you always replace races when you replace bearings.

That depends on where the pits are and how deep. Post a picture or three and let us see what you are dealing with.

I can't figure out how to post a picture. There is no grease zert on the hub either. How does one properly fill the hub with grease.

Some of my hubs have grooves in them to make driving the old races out easier.
Pictures or a better description of where the grooves are will help.
