My galvanized trailer has major rust holes on the last 2 feet of the right side. How can I repair this. The rusted section is so bad, I'll have to cut out this section. But how can I add a new piece of 2x4" box beam? HELP.

Cut out rusted piece. Weld in new piece paint weld with high zinc paint.

$10 says that you will need to replace more than the 2 feet. The last two tube construction galvanized trailers I picked up were so bad, I could only salvage the axles, springs, and fenders

Strongly suggest whenever anyone gets a boat trailer, they thoroughly flush the tubes with fresh water immediately after returning home from every salt water outing. I've always hosed mine down every trip, (plus flood tubes w/fresh water), and my late 80's galvanized EZ-Loader is still in decent shape.

Hopefully, you'll be able to find some tubing from your trailer manufacturer to replace the rusted-out piece(s).

Rare for just one part of a boat trailer to rust out without the rest of it being riddled with rust.
