Will narrower tires fit on my rims? Going smaller would be fine with me if it will work.
Why would you go with a 195 LT tire when there are 205 LT tires? problem with LT tires is that you typically can't get the same load rating of a ST with a D rating. Even compared to C it may be lower.

I would also not go with a 70 series tire. Stay with a 75 series. You want more sidewall height...not less!

Pep Boys has Kendas' ST 205 75 R14 LRC for 89.99 ea. and they are offering 30% off. So 62.99 ea. Maybe they'll mount them for free. Are these good tires?

Are they Bias or Radial? I use the Kenda ST 205 75 R14 in a D load range radial and haven't had any issues with them.

Likely because there are very few sizes available in 14" LT tires.

I have those exact tires, too. I've had them a little more than a year, logging over 4000 miles, and they've been fine. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another set.

I had Maxis and liked them. So much I decided to try to get a 5th year out of them. That was an error. 900 mile round trip and I got within 90 miles of home before one split a belt. I would have bought them again but I decided to try a set of Kuhmo 857's. They have the 2271 pound load limit. They cost $300 for the pair mounted and balanced. Time will tell but best case they will get replaced after the 4th year.

Ah, sorry! Missed the most important part of it I guess. šŸ˜Ÿ

Sounds like my luck though, I need like four spares, lol.

Usually dry rot gets my tires, I don't think I've ever actually wore one out....
