I am the new owner of a backyard found sailing dingy. It is in need of repair and restoration but, I am thrilled to own it. It is my first sailboat and it will be the first boat restoration I will ever tackle.

I have been trying to find as much information on this little boat as possible but, I have been unable to come up with too much. That is why I registered here today to see if anyone here could help me out with information or just a shove in the right direction.

Here is what I know about the boat so far.

-It is a 1976 BBU (Blue Buoy Yacht) according to Coast Guard website.
-It is a fiberglass sailing dingy that is 10ft. in length
-It is sloop rigged and the main sail though faded, has the Blue Buoy Yacht insignia on it.
-The serial number is etched into the transom as though it was done with an electric engraving tool.

I have tracked down as much information about Blue Buoy Yacht Co. as I can and have only come up with two boats that they manufactured. The Del Rey24 and the Del Rey50.

I am hoping to find out more about its history, stats, and maybe some photo's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
