I wanted to get some advice if anyone knows how much difference there is going from a stock Solas 13/18 prop to a 14/19 that is listed for modified motors.
I have a stock waverunner motor and pump in a 14' Jon boat. Designed and have been running it for 15 years now with no problems. It's time for a new prop I feel and want to get a little more kick out of it. The motor seems to hit the limiter when on plane and cause of the large flat bottom it gets there easy and quick so I think I can use a little more pitch to load the motor and not hit the limiter at full throttle. I get about 3/4 throttle and after that nothings left. I did this earlier with a first model jet ski motor and pump in a similar boat with success. Just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with a 14/19 on a stock motor and how it performed. Is that too much for a stock motor to handle? Any info would be great.
