97 Kawasaki stx 1100 over heating issue

Ok guys so I aquired a free jetski it's a 97 Kawasaki stx 1100...my issues are this..it say for over a year..got it home got it to fire up and the drive shaft seal towards the jet box is pouring water in...the other issue is I am pretty sure its over heating...no water coming out of the side shooter and the head gets hot enough to where you can't put your hand on it..I shut it down and havnt touched it sense...I am a newbe to jetskis and would love to get this one back up and going...any help would be greatly appreciated!

I took the cap off the flush line and a little bit of water comes out not much just a little if that helps any...surprised and the lack of activity lol
