I have a service manual and understand how to change the stator oil, got that taken care of, but I dont understand how to change the main drive unit oil. Manual states "Remove fill and vent screws from bottom of drive housing. Fill drive housing with High Performance Gear Lube. Capacity is 18.6 oz. (550 cc). NOTE: To obtain correct oil level pump housing must be level and upright." Well I see them, I loosened both and oil comes out from both, the screw within the inlet screen had a greenish oil come out and the one outside the screen had blacker oil come out. I just dont understand how to check the level if you fill and drain from the bottom. I want to assume that I just put the 550cc of oil in and its all good but I wanted to ask for some advice here first.
