I have a new to me XPS Seadoo with a huge oil leak. The ski was wrenched on some before I got it, but i do not know what was done. The Jet Pump needed TLC, as the wear ring was shot, and bearings needed replacemnet.

I am now looking to find the leak. I am debating on the best method. I know the service manual says that it should hold like 5-10 psi, and I am sure it would not pass this test.

I thought about pulling the oil pump and rotary valve cover, but i do not know if I can remove it with out pulling the engine. I believe I need to pull

Those are known to leak at the tank or in the rotary valve seals inside the engine , that makes it smoke real bad after it sits a while if it's the seals, also 2 hoses go to the rotary valve from the oil tank, so it's a process of elimination.
