background info:
Bought a decade sitting bayliner jazz in great condition, great compression. no spark,
saw it had a burn mark on the regulator, bad ohm on stator (black).
tested trigger-ohms good on all 3 leads
I assumed spark box was bad
bought a used RED stator-which ohms good-came with an adapter which shows open on all leads (is the adapter supposed to be open? but NOT the end of my questions here)
bought a CDI 114-4953
bought a new quicksilver 815279a2
Went to hook all this stuff up:
Old stator had 2 yellow wires (regulator) one blue one red (spark box)
New stator has 2 yellow (regulator) one gre/wht one wht/grn to adaptor box which then has blu/wht and blue.
Cdi switch box has blue and a red that has a tag not to hook up to 12v. WTF?!?
Does this red lead connect to blu/wht on stator adaptor?
Trigger group
Trigger has blk, red with white stripe, white with black stripe, and a blue.
Switch box has purple, brown, white and white with black stripe
What colors go with what?!?
cdi "install instructions" are anything but install instructions.
