low compression

low compression on back cylinder.1995 750 STS Kawasaki jet ski .how bad will this hurt, shorterm

Are you still wanting to ride it with low compression? I wouldn't, the damage is done, and you only make the front cylinder work harder. How much difference is there between cylinders now?

I just got the jet ski in a trade. I was told it was locked up but that was not the case.The compression was 130 on the front & 30 on the back.

I was thinking if it would run long enough to check for other problems,so I could fix them while it was down

hmmmm 30 I would pull the head and take a peak before spending one cent on it.

running the ski is a bad idea. you currently may be able to get away with a simple fix, if you run it, you will likely make it worse. pull the head and take a look.
