Mercury Sport Jet 175 XR Jet Drive Assembly

My jet drive assembly is toast. Parts are obsolete. I have found a used one, but prefer to have mine rebuilt/remanufactured. It seems any and all searches lead me down a dead end road. Is there anyone out there who can point me in the right direction to finding someone who is capable of rebuilding this type of jet drive?

If it were only that simple, before passing on the used one, disassemble yours and see what is bad, it may not even be rebuildable or it may just need some bearings, seals etc that can be matched up at a bearing supply house.
It would be too bad if you lose out on a used one that is working ok and later learn yours is not rebuildable.
