I brought my waverunner into the garage to replace the hydro-turf after using it in the lake for months with no problems. When I was done cleaning it up and replacing the mats, I plugged it into the trickle charger. After a couple days of charging (more than ample time) it won't start. It won't do anything. It acts like it's in lock mode, but when I push the 'mode' button to enter the code, nothing happens. When I disconnect the blue plug under the dash to reset the lock code, the 'warning' light comes on, but 'mode' button still does nothing.

Some things I've checked:

-battery is fully charged
-the wire harness to the gauges is powered 12v
-the kill switch is functioning (based on continuity check)
-the drive shaft (at the impeller) turns freely
-the fuse is good
-all wired connections are secure
-I even tried starting it while "jumped" to the car battery -- same result

It seems to me as if the gauges/meters may be fried, but I don't now how to find out for sure.

Any other possible solutions you can think of?

Thank you in advance for any input you may be able to share.
