Dry bearing sound from Yamaha 1200GP '98

While idling with the seat off I can hear what sounds like a dry, worn bushing sound. I have greased both fittings (on each end of the block) and tried to localize the sound without success. It runs fine, and I cannot hear nothing with the seat on. The sound started in the last year and wanted to know if anyone had an idea of the source.

one possability is it is being telegraphed down the drive shaft from the pump, possibly a pump berring going bad or the liner rubbing on the impeller,those pumps use sealed berrings plus the liners are prone to expand from corrosion under the stainless sleeve and cause the impeller to rub,try to hear it running on the trailer.
