  • Need help identifying engine in 1996 Sea-doo GTs

Guys it appears that I can't post pics yet (I'm just a noob to the iBoats forum,) But I need a new engine for my newly acquired 1996 Sea-Doo GTs. The Rotax tag says: Mot. Nr. 4133746 TYPE 587. It would be a TOTAL BUMMER to buy the wrong engine. Could you guys please help me get the proper info so I can get the correct part.
    Thanks in advance!

Hi Don't know if you got your question answered, but yes, the 1996 GTS has a 587 engine with a single carburetor. A good source for information on SeaDoo is http://seadoosource.com/ look specifically at the model reference page which contains information by year. Also look at the fuel economy page which has Seadoos listed by year and model, with information on engine, displacement, top WOT speed, fuel economy, etc.
