Hi All,

I am taking off the jet drive on my 2000 model year 240 EFI. I have the manual and am seeing some conflicting info. in the exploded parts diagram it shows red Loctite on the threads of the bolts holding on the stator. in the written directions it states "Perfect seal": Install wear ring and stator. Apply Perfect Seal to threads of four bolts. Torque to 35 lb.ft. (47 N?m).

I also have another guide that states use red Loctite. I really don't want to do that. the bolts are 150mm long and are very far into the drive. I don't think I would ever get them hot enough to remove it again with out damaging something else.

does anyone have an opinion of what I should use? I am considering using blue Loctite as a happy medium between the two options. any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

When I have used Loctite I only put a dab on the last few threads I think will be in treads and have never had a problem with the dreaded superglued bolts.
