Wear Ring question....

Is it normal, after replacing the wear ring, to see plastic shavings coming out of the back when you first start it up. Or should I be worried about the shaft not turning true. I know it fits tight with the impeller but will this stop and is it normal?

No its not normal, and its probably not the shaft, most likely its the housing. Don't know which model you have but Seadoo used some composite housings and over time they egg shaped. So replacing the wear ring just caused more wear at first. The fix was to replace the impeller housing with aluminum type
