2011 Kawasaki STX-15F Problem

The last two times I put the ski is in the water it has had a deep, throaty, sound when I give it throttle. It didn't used to have that sound and I cannot reproduce it when it is out of the water and hooked up to the garden hose, while on the hose it sounds totally normal. There is possibly a little lag in acceleration, but not much. Other than that it seems to perform normally.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

You only thinks it's a jet ski....maybe it's a little hoarse.

Does it run the same otherwise?

Check al exhaust compliments and make sure there is not whole or line loose or fallen off.

A baffle in the exaust could have broken or maybe even your air cleaner is loose.
