New sea doo owner

I am the new owner of a sea doo jet ski. One question I have is is it ok to start it up for a minute or so not hooked up to water?

Where can I get an attachment so I can hook the hose up to it?

Hardware store, Home Depot, etc. Its an NPT hose fitting. Just buy a garden hose QD fitting.

If it's new i would think the flushing adapter should come with it.
