Merc Sport Jet 120 vs. 120XR - Basic differences

Does anyone know what the basic differences are between the Sport Jet 120 and the 120 xr? I've read that the stator issues common to the Sport Jets was resolved in later years. Was that due to part of the changes made in the xr? I've heard that the flywheel also changed in later years. Is that part of the xr changes as well? Will the Force or Merc/Force outboard flywheels work on the Sport Jet? We've been plagued with the loose magnet problem. I know that they can be epoxied, but I have one damaged. I also have heard that the magnets can be purchased, but what is the correct magnet?
