Hello everyone,

I have a 1996 Searay Seayrayder F-14 with a Sport Jet 120. I have read these two posts on how to provide cooling water and how to decarb the engine. But I want to do this in the driveway so that I don't get odd looks from other boaters around the Seattle area, let alone calls to the fire department by crazy Kayak-tivists bent on saving the planet from evil power boats. :p So... my question to you is this: Will the cooling water setup in the first link provide enough cooling water to perform the decarb procedure in the second link?

Driveway flushing is fine for winterizing or flushing after salt water use, when running at idle. For the time it would take to decarbonize properly I would personally feel uneasy about running the impeller / wear ring dry for that length of time. Besides the finish to the decarb should be to run at elevated Rpms to blow it out. You shouldn't go that high on a hose.

Just my HO.
