boat is a 94 crownline 182br with the 4.3l. max rpm 4400-4800
I recently bought a used ss quicksilver mirage 19p 48-13700a41 prop. If I try to use the thrust washer it pushes the prop to far out. If I remove the washer it seats down fine against the tapered part of the shaft and nothing rubs. There is not a washer stuck to the bottom of the prop. Without the thrust washer to much of the splined shaft sticks through and I would need a spacer between the prop and castle lock washer. Is it ok to run it like this or is this the wrong prop? Was told it would work on my sterndrive.

Took the boat down to the local shop and my housing is missing about a 1/4" off the housing. All because the previous owner didn't use the thrust washer. Prop locks down against the tapered part of the prop shaft after I added a couple washers under the aft washer.
