Have twin 200hp OffShore Mercury Engines. Just had both props reworked and forgot to mark which prop came off which engine. Does it matter which prop goes back to which motor and if it does, can I ID which prop matches which engine? Thanks for the help.

Yes, it matters. I believe that counter rotating engines turn outward BUT crank each engine for a few seconds to check flywheel direction then turn the flywheel in forward gear to see which way the prop shaft turns.and have a friend check which way the prop shaft turns

The difference will be: if you try to go forward the props being on the wrong engines will have you go backward.
Won't hurt anything... Doesn't take long to swap props.

Another thought...do you need to torque these down and if so, any idea on torque? I think I saw one place that said 55 lbs but wasn't sure if that is standard for Mercury or is applicable to any prop nut. i have a spider rings to go back on them. Thanks!
