Welcome to Iboats,

Was wondering why new boaters with new toys wants to change current factory delivered prop as a first starter must do. Need to tach that engine on current boat with an induction tach and see if inside min-max wot rpm factory stated for that engine. Once you know that can play with prop pitches all you want to suit best your boating requirements as opposed to staying with current prop.

Happy Boating

You probably know that prop size is given in diameter X pitch.
Diameter is a secondary consideration. A 1/8 difference in diameter isn't likely to be noticed unless the prop has something else different.
If you check prop pitch sizes you will note that as pitch goes up usually diameter goes down and vice versa.
You would normally change pitch to try to get the motor within it's rpm range to improve performance.
