Prop has Merc # 48-77346-19 stamped on it.
My 90hp tower power is two hours a way but I have a very bad 48-77346-19 Propeller.
Iboats says that one of there prop is for 1978, (#1411-130-19), and newer another for 1977,(#1411-130-19) and earlier 90 HP.
My motor has distributer--I don't have SS #.
Anyone know the difference between these two props--same Amtia part # different year

My info indicates the 90 appeared in 78 as a 900.79 is simply a 90 hp.
No 90 listed before the 78 900.
If they are the same Amita part number should be the same prop.
Just guessing the motors following 78 90 hp and 115 and maybe even the 140 may use the same prop number with the pitch being the only difference
on a givem application. The 140 would be a different pitch on the same boat for a 115 or 90.

Steve, a Merc 90HP motor with a distributor will be 1979 or older. However, most/all of the 70s - 80s inline Merc props for 4 and 6 cylinder motors will fit. I like the turning point hustler aluminum props. They are vented and have some blade rake for better performance. If your performance before the prop got trashed was good, stick with a 19P prop. If not drop down a pitch size.

I have a new 48-77346-19 In the box. I sold my pontoon and 1999 90hp Nissan outboard motor. It was a replacement for my Nissan I had in storage.

If both have the same part number, 1411-130-19, then are they are the same prop. Year they were made doesn't matter. For Solas, first number is prop design/material/specs, second is diameter, 13.0", and third is pitch 19.
