prop help

Hey yall. I am fairly new to boating. I have a 1990 suntracke 24 dlx party barge. Is has a 1979 johnson 115. I can not tell what size prop it has on it. However what would be the best prop to go out the boat. Also would 3 or 4 blade be better. Thanks

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... Pull the prop on it, 'n look for it's numbers,... They're probably hidin' under the nut,....

A healthy 115 with a 2.00 gear ratio would probably use about a 11"pitch prop.
Check your prop size and get us a lightly loaded wot(wide open throttle) rpm and gps speed.
You will need a Tach if your planing a prop change.
