Hi Guys.
I am trying to get my boat performance up. RPM range is 5-6000 for this engine.

Here are my test results with various Solas aluminum props:

14.3x21 WOT 5650 MPH 30
15.5x17 WOT 6200 MPH 32
15.3x19 WOT 5600 MPH 32

I think these top speeds are way to low. the boat has a normal weight and these tests were done with only me in the boat, and the top down.

I would like top speed to be 40 MPH or greater.

I am thinking of going to a Solas stainless steel prop 15.3 x19 like the aluminum one I am currently running.

Any suggestions?

Does this boat have the RPT tubes? Are the props all same brand and model?
Is the speed by GPS?Does the boat have a bottom skin.
19 to 20% slip is close to typical pontoon slip.Typical DF150 toon prop size is 17 and 18"
Your rpm seems all over the place with no logical results based on prop sizes.
Couldn't find Signature 8522 test with a DF 150 Found a 150 Etec test that made over 40 mph.
Found some DF 150 pontoon tests basically about 6000rpm 32-36 mph. with 17 to18" props.
I'm thinking maybe your setup isn't quite right.

Hey Steelspike.
Has RPT tubes and is skinned.
Speed is via GPS
All props so far have been same manufacturer same model
Thinking maybe trying a 18 pitch Stainless steel to get RPMS up and maybe speed.

Prop calculator assuming 6000rpm, 18" prop,19% slip I get 38.5.
Usually a ss prop will improve slip so that alone may improve speed.
