Scenario :
2 strokes 50 HP, one with 1.92 gear ratio, the other with 1.85. Both weights same and runs wot at 5850 rpm with same standard factory delivered prop.. if seated on a bare empty combo (300 Kg boat and engine)
What will be the pro and con about going for the one in which the only difference is the gear ratio. Is it all about torque, pushing a heavier boat as opposed to a ligltly loaded one ? Which ratio matches better pushing a heavier loaded commercial/fishing boat ?
