Hello Guys!

Just own for a while now this Stiletto 13x21 SS Prop. Test it just one time and didnt like its performance in my Mariner 115hp Outboard, Take for ever to plane and the boat feels like a lot of weight in.

Actually with a 13x19 SS the boat moves a lot better and best with same size but Aluminun.

Anyway my question is which Engine, OB or IN/OUT this prop will perform the right way?? Just want to sell it but need additional info to post on CG or any other place. Is new and only 1/2 hour used.

Thanks

Typically the Mariner 115 will use a 17" or 19' for a normal setup.
Your 21 performed poorly because out was simply too much prop.
If your wot(wide open throttle) rpm is within that recommended your 19 is the right prop.
If you give us the wot rpm and gps speed we should be able to tell if your setup works.

Ahh,finally success.

If you are going to load up that boat with folks and want to pull a couple of slaloms simultaneously, I'd go with the 17. You will do a better job of getting them up which they will surely appreciate, you will be better able to control your boat at whatever speed they like, and your engine will love you for lightening the load on it. Your "hole shot" (getting the boat on plane) will be much faster also. As Steel said, If running light and the rpms want to run on over the max recommended WOT then just back off the throttle till they are in. Nothing is free so if you want to race you just shot yourself in the foot. The WOT mph will fall off maybe as much as 5 mph but you have to decide: Do you want to race or play? BTDT

Ayuh,.... On a Mercury outboard with the same gear case as yer's, on a much smaller hull,.....

Though it'll slide onto a Merc I/O, 'n bolt on properly, the barrel is 1/2" too small,'n it'll ventilate, rather than pull,....

Thanks Guys for the input. This one looks like the OB is over prop at 21p, just looking for the correct engine to fit this prop with cause Im trying to sell and add that info in the CG Listing.

The Stiletto Advantage is more of a bass boat prop and works well on them.
