I have a Bayliner 2160 and I think I need to change props(10mph at 3200rpm). Does anyone know what size the OEM prop was? Power is 3.0L Mercruiser. I have been told the original was 14 x 19. Presently there is a 17" pitch on it.

Is that the 2160 Trophy Hard top? If so, it's dry weight is about 2700-2800 lbs. What year is it; I'm guessing around 1986.

When new, it probably came with a 19 pitch prop and mustered about 4500-4600 rpm @ around 35-38 mph assuming a 1.98/2.0 gear ratio.

How long have you owned the boat? Has it always performed so badly? 3200 rpm @ 10 mph is not even on plane yet.

Is that the original motor(not replaced)?

10 mph at 3200 rpm? is your engine healthy? if 3200 is top rpm's you can muster....I'd say your engine is ill.... have you ever done compression check on the motor? as Jestor said.. has it always performed this poorly?
