Trying to figure out if prop is right for my motor and boat

I have a 1998 Evinrude Ocean Pro 175 on a 1985 Pro Line 20' Center Console. I was wondering how to go about telling if the prop is the right one for the boat. I am trying to get the best out of it. It has a 15 X 17 Viper SS on it now. I am not having any trouble with it just wanting it to perform its best. I just recently purchased boat and motor.

Read the stickies at the top of the prop forum.
I would only fine tune the suggestions there to say a test run "lightly loaded" with the prop size and wide open throttle (wot) rpm and gps spered.
This will help us tell if your setup is working well.
If you want to include a typical load test run as well thats fine.
