Prop Hub Question

Alpha Gen 2 outdrive. Had an aluminum Quicksilver (17p). Got my hands on a SS 19p to try but the hub is brass and cannot be removed, thus, there is WAY too much play on the shaft with the nut fully tightened. Do I need an "aft washer" or is there a spacer for this type of hub?

Thanks

Gee, normally a Mercruiser will have a thrust washer on the prop shaft first, followed by the prop and then a splined, brass spacer with teeth, the spider washer and then the locknut. Sometimes the brass spacer with teeth is part of the prop, sometimes it is separate. What do you have?

BTW - Props with non-removable hubs are pretty common.

Evidently I had BOTH types. What I was missing, for the SS prop, was the spacer and grounding wire. Problem solved. Thanks Chris.
