spun prop or berrings dont know

Went boating today and stop the boat on the water then went to go and started to go alright then the boat motor started to whine out like i lost the prop. Throttle down,tried to go again and motor goes when the prop is going slow but when i throttle up it just throttles up and goes nowhere. Works in forward and reverse as long as its in low power . I am new to this boating thing but i think i may have spun prop. With motor off shaft seems to turn freely. Iam at a loss. Any imput will be appriciated.. thanks

Sounds like a spun hub.Draw a water proof line across the hub and body test it till it spins and check the line.
