Hello,

Please suggest a prop size. I plan on going stainless 3 blade. It will be on a 14' Twin Vee Classic (catamaran hull). The motor will be a new Suzuki DF60A. The boat is usually offered with 40 hp engines, but since the 60 weighs the same as the 40, I'd like to go 60. For reference, the 17' Twin Vee Classic usually gets a 60. My typical load will be two adults (350 lbs) and dive gear or two adults (300 lbs) and two little kids. Any guesses on top speed?

I hardly think increasing hp by 50% is a good idea.I'm guessing the 14 with a 40 depending on the prop would run about 28.
The 60, depending on the prop might end up at 41.

Thanks. I'll be running it like a 40. Just nice to know I can eventually put it on a 17. I recently saw a prop test for the 17 wearing a 50 hp etec and it hit 29+.
