Here's the basics.
Current Prop.- Mercury Fast Five (5 blade) SS
Current Diameter/Pitch - 13 1/4 X 23P
WOT - Motor is rated at 5,800 rpm max. Easily done with this prop.
Engine - 1994 Mercury Black Max XRI 200hp
Boat - 1994 20' Astro Bass Boat (no clue on the weight)
So here's the problem. The Fast Five prop I'm using now is a back up (used for skiing/wakeboarding). Broke my prop shaft and lost my day to day prop so I'm looking to get a new one. Not positive on the diameter but I'm pretty sure the prop I lost was Mercury Quicksilver SS 14 1/2 X 24P. The boat ran fine wth that prop but would also run 5,800rpm easily with room to spare. So I'm thinking about moving up to a Mercury Quicksilver Mirage 14 1/2 X 25P (ebay special). Any reason y'all can think of that this wouldn't work out? Thanks for the help.
