1998 bass tracker wit 90hp

i have a 1998 pro team 175 with a merc 90hp motor the boat is rated for 75 max but does fine with the 90. i think it should run faster currently at 5500 mabe 5800 rpms it gps at 43 with an aluminum 21 pitch prop. not sure the diameter prop stock looking. is it worth looking into getting a different high performance prop? if so 3 or 4 blade what pitch? diameter? and any other factors before i drop $$$$

A good SS prop will improve the performance quite a bit.

A 21 pitch Mercury Laser II; or a Solas HR Titan in same pitch. The Solas would be quite a bit less $.

At 5600 rpm and 43 mph, you're showing a 10% slip now; which will improve with the better performing SS prop.

Max rpm for your motor is 5500.
