Newbie here,
New to me 1967-68 Merc 650 [SN 2207175] on 16' Starcraft Runabout.Motor came with no prop and the boatyard guys just give me dumb looks and "it is not in my book/database".
I need a correct part number for a prop and more importantly a hub kit. Shaft has 15 splines,I believe motor is 2 to 1 gear ratio and was produced 1961-1970.
I think I want 12-13 Diameter,15-17 inch prop for this application but that is not as important as the hub/mounting kit.
Anyone have this motor and can post his prop setup?
Thanks

If you look up a 15" prop here at iboats you will note the complete accessory kit.
For reference the Jupiter is 640 lbs dry weight. If you use the merc prop selector it may help you decide.
If I was to guess a prop size it would be a 15. That might be a little light but you can use it by watching the rpm.
If we guess higher and its too much performance will be poor and you shouldn't use the prop for an extended time frame.
The solas Amita and Rubex have a good reputation.
