I have a 1999 Cobalt 190, 5.0lGi, 1.95 DPSM Duo Prop outdrive with F6 props. The boat will do 55mph or better once it's wound up, but I struggle pulling even a moderate sized skier on 2 skis out of the hole. Do I have the right props? Could it be a timing or fuel problem? I expect that 5.0l to really jump that 19' boat out of the water when I hammer it, but it's a dog off the line. It starts easy, idles smooth and really flies at the top end. Any help is really appreciated.

What is your max WOT rpm? That is what you need to determine proper sized props,

For a reference point, the WOT rpm operating range is 4600-5000 rpm.

Propping it to run at or near the top of the range will produce the best acceleration out of the hole.

I would think you need to check your WOT RPM with the boat fully (or at least normally) loaded. Much more realistic parameters.
