I currently have a raker 14.5 x 24 prop but would like to goto a 4 blade prop. I would like a better hole shot and lower plane speed. Anyone got any suggestions? Currently runs 65 gps and 5900 rpm. What would be a good equivelent 4 blade? Any help would be greatly appreciatied.

Do you have trim tabs? Something like Smart tabs could help. They are said to improve hole shot,
stay on plane better and limit low speed wander.
They do need to be applied carefully to add just enough control without adversely affecting hull performance.

No i dont have tabs. I bought this boat several years ago and it had a 4 blade prop on it. I had them change it to this 3 blade raker. I wish I could remember what prop it had. I have to use this rig to pull tubes and skiers since my kids have gotten big enough and need the performance of the 4 bladed prop.

When going from a 3 to a 4 blade, you drop 1 inch of pitch to maintain present rpm.

The Trophy is really popular on bass boats. It has the PVS plugs to help tune your hole shot. You would want a 23 pitch and the Johnson Flo-torq 2 hub kit to make it work.

Would it make sense to go with a 24 pitch 4 blade since I am currently turning 5800-5900 rpm with the 24 raker?

You're currently right at your max RPMs which is good, and normally you drop 1" to maintain the same RPMs so I think the 23" would be the best. Also your hole shot will be better with the 23, but if you want to try the 24 you can always have a 1" of pitch taken off of it if it doesn't perform well.
