hi i have a tohatsu M50C on my 16' starcraft jupiter. i rebuilt the boat and its heavy. the motor currently has an original alum 13 pitch prop. with 2 guys and gear i can get on plane but is takes some time. with 3 guys and gear i can barely get on plane and if there is any sort of chop it wont plane off. i use this boat during winter for hunting so speed is not a requirement, i need more power. motor doesnt sound like the rpms are high enough when running at speed. what pitch would you recommend? thanks, mark

Tohatsu recommends a 13"/12" pitches for moderate loads.

For heavy loads, they recommend an 11" pitch or less. I would say a 10" pitch should help your situation, since your load qualifies as heavy.

A tachometer would be nice; as your motor is rated for only 4000-4600 rpm at WOT.
