1992 force 40 HP prop

HI I wave a 1992 force 40 HP on A 1993 sun cruser pontoon boat. Had the boat out and seemed to hit some thing and lost most of the power. If i shift it into gear and rou it very slow it moves very slow but when I give it more power the RPMS go up but the boat still moves slow can someone tell me whats wroung?

You have "spun" the hub. You have several options: 1. buy a new or used prop. If you can't find Force, it is the same prop that the Mercury 40 uses. 2. Have your existing prop repaired at a prop shop. Bring it to your local marine dealer and they will send it out for repair.
