'06 suzuki 140 trim/tilt

my 06 suzuki 140 will trim down but not up, while using either switch, on motor or controls up forward. changed solinoid, but same result. Please help. thanks

You'll get a lot better results in the Suzuki section this is props.
Does the solenoid click?

Just speaking generically
If the solenoid doesn't react/click I would suspect the ground side or perhaps a broken or loose wire
that is common to both solenoid buttons.Check for voltage at the solenoid.

i found broken wire and reconnected it. i now get a clicking noise when trying to tilt motor up, but it still wont move up, just down.

fixed it. sorry. i was calling the relay a solenoid. it was double trouble. i put old relay back on after i saw the broken wire, and was going to return the new relay to get my 100 bucks back. but after repairing wire the old one just clicked, so i ended up needing the new one. tilts up just fine now. Thanks steelespike for helping me

Glad it worked out.Just electric common sense. I've never worked on a trim and tilt sometimes you get lucky
and when have someone who presses on they get it done.
