I finally got this motor up and running after going through: carb, fuel pump, water pump and new fuel lines through-out.....wasn't even sure it would run but it started right up and really moved my jon boat pretty good. Was out making its first run and hit something below the waterline.....Apparently I destroyed the rubber hub inside the prop (or it was already rotted and I just finished it off). Now I'm looking for a replacement. But there doesn't seem to be any 8" 6 tooth hubbed props anywhere. Are there substitutes out there? Or can I change out the prop shaft for an eight tooth one? It's gonna kill me if I got this far and got hosed by the prop. any help would be greatly appreciated.
