How do you remove a Johnson colt prop?

I have a 1971 johnson Colt 2hp engine. I need to remove the prop, but it's not coming off like I would expect. All i see holding it on is a cotter pin. I removed that, but the prop does not slide off. I whacked it a few times with a rubber mallet to no avail. Can anyone tell me what i need to do? Thanks.

i wonder if this is a pin drive engine if so the pin might be rusted on.. ttap pin with tap (poker, can be screw driver) and hammer
