I have a great old Evinrude Fleetwin model 7518. My dad had given up fixing it years ago but I have got it running pretty smoothly. Only problem is we CANNOT find the original prop. I know the 50's engines were pretty close, is it possible to buy a '54 or '56 two blade prop to use? Or are there any modern props I could use with the old shaft? Thanks for any help!

I can't help you with the prop exchange but just in case you do not have the original propeller part number, it is 277650 and appears to be still available.

If you buy a used or NOS prop it must be from a 1954-55 Evinrude 7.5 hp. A 1956-58 Johnson/Evinrude 7.5 hp prop is different. The 5.5 hp prop looks the same and will fit, but its a different size so don't buy one.
